Business As Usual hands down is one of the best mixtapes in 2008 coming from the westcoast mixtape circuit. Despite the overall south mixtape takeover west coast gangsta music is alive and well. Young G is definitely an artist to keep an open eye on with his treacherous word play raunchy aggressive lines its very clear he is A hungry Emcee.
on "Aim To kill" lines like n***as see the long run you aint hard son/ I'm a artist painting pictures but the only thing I draw is guns/" and also on the 2nd verse to "Strap Up" "who Rhymes sicker than this West Coast
Rhyme spitter" brings attention that whoever has any doubts should think twice.Tracks like "40 on me" where he is spittin over jay z reservoir dogs" and doing his own version to "Feelin it" just bleeds with A very horrific boss tycoon persona stating he is snoop dogg and big daddy kane reincarnated. "Real G" where he owns and demolishes the beat he channels that NWA ice cube in his prime mixed with his own swagger bringing real heat with A clever gesture when he spits "no remorse when I shoot two sets of eleven shots now that's what I called A catch 22". with A balled between him and his gun on "My love" is another classic. On Gangsta's presence Young G makes u well aware to respect him whether you are around him or not. WAR, C.R.E.A.M, and murda murda are sinister tracks that keeps u well at ease for every line. the two Freestyle tracks puts him on level high seating him in A class of his own.Ending it all with "The Hit" where he goes on A hunt from A previous call about a crazy heist. it leaves you Pinned to the last bar as he goes on with the story and its tragic end. The total 16 track mixtape consist of pure HOP HOP music back in its essence A most definite play through listener. Young G is buzzworthy to keep a spotlight on so make sure u keep in tuned with this West Coast Artist.
